All the Jewish Cameos in ‘And Just Like That…’ Season Three

The final season of HBO's "Sex and the City" reboot includes many familiar faces, from Andy Cohen to Ella Stiller.

This season of “And Just Like That…” has been chock-full of fun cameos. (Perhaps, because as we now know, the show is ending after the two-part finale airs over the next two weeks.) Legendary Broadway actress Patti LuPone joined the cast to play the primadonna mother of Giuseppe, Anthony’s young, hot Italian boyfriend. (Definitely not a stretch for her.) Rosie O’Donnell stole the first episode as a nun whose virginity Miranda unwittingly takes. And SNL alum Cheri Oteri has a delightful turn as Seema’s short-lived matchmaker.

But there are also plenty of unexpected, exciting cameos reserved for Jewish actors — which, frankly, just makes sense given the show’s New York City setting.

A Humble Request:

Harris Yulin plays Harry’s father, dubbed “Pop Pop,” in episode four. Hilariously, Charlotte has to contend with the realization that her father-in-law is no stranger to PornHub and him ditching the family to hook up with a neighbor.

Harris Yulin was adopted by Isaac and Sylvia Goldberg as a baby and given the name Harris Bart Goldberg. According to the New York Times, he was inspired to become an actor after enjoying the spotlight at his bar mitzvah. He chose the stage name Yulin as an homage to his father’s Russian Jewish family, who had that surname. He passed away on June 10, 2025. May his memory be for a blessing.

Andy Cohen, Sarah Jessica Parker’s real-life BFF, reprises his role as Daniel, a Bergdorf Goodman shoe salesman in episode nine. He previously played Daniel in season six, episode 13 of “Sex and the City.” However, on his radio show “Andy Cohen Live,” the Bravolebrity revealed that he struggled a bit with his part. “Shooting these shows for me is very difficult,” he said. “You have to literally walk four steps, say your line at a particular spot, and then keep going. There’s a lot of blocking involved, and I just don’t — I’m not good at it.”

Cohen is a self-proclaimed “proud Jew” who uses the word “mazel” so often on his show “Watch What Happens Live!,” he has mazel-themed merch. He’s a member of Congregation Beit Simchat Torah in New York City.

Susie Essman portrays Rhonda, an energy healer who Charlotte wins a session with via a silent auction. Though Essman is only on-camera at the end of the episode (she initially refuses to turn on her camera because Charlotte’s winning bid was very low), her voice and her curt manner are unmistakable.

Essman is perhaps best known for playing foul-mouthed Susie Greene on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alongside Larry David. (Though another notable role of hers includes playing Ilana’s mother on “Broad City.”) “I would say my favorite Jewish moment was from [season five episode] ‘The Ski Lift,’ when I have to pretend to be Larry’s Orthodox wife,” Essman said in a 2021 conversation with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. “Reading that, I was just like, ‘Oh my God, this is pure gold.’

Essman has Russian and Polish Jewish ancestry, and is the great granddaughter of silent film actor and Russian opera impresario Leo Feodoroff.

Ella Stiller plays Mia, a casual hook-up of Miranda and Steve’s son Brady who becomes pregnant. Heartwarmingly, in “Sex and the City,” Ella’s grandmother Anne Meara played Steve’s mom.

Ella is the daughter of Jewish actor Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, and the granddaughter of legendary Jewish comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. Ella has said feels connected to and proud of her grandparents and how they have come to represent New York Jewishness. “As a Jewish woman, I feel real responsibility right now in this moment in time to represent Jews everywhere and especially Jewish women or young Jewish women,” Ella said on a podcast about participating in the 2024 Festival of New Jewish Plays.

Spike Einbinder‘s role in “And Just Like That…” is still unclear. However, the actor and sibling of Hannah Einbinder confirmed via Instagram earlier this summer that they have a role in this season.

Einbinder is the child of original “Saturday Night Live” cast member Laraine Newman and actor/writer Chad Einbinder. He has said of his Jewish identity, “my existence in the Jewish diaspora is congruent to how I relate to the earth and humanity. My surroundings are my community and home.”
