Interested in writing for Alma? Great! We’re always looking for new freelance contributors. Here’s a bit about what we’re looking for and how to submit your ideas:
As always, the best way to get a sense of the kind of content we’re seeking is to read the website and see what we’ve been publishing. Alma topics include pop culture, dating, news, politics, feminism, identity, rituals, and holidays — all through a Jewish lens. We are particularly interested in the experiences of self-identifying Jewish women and non-binary individuals navigating life from college through their 20s and 30s.
If you have an idea that you think might be a good fit for Alma, shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a brief synopsis of your idea and a little bit about who you are and why you’re the right person to write this piece. If you’ve already written a full draft, you can send that along, too (we look for pieces between 700-1100 words). If you have links to previously published works, feel free to include (though don’t worry if you don’t!).
Alma pays all writers for their work — rates will be discussed upon acceptance.
