It’s the year 2017 and not everything is going exactly as we’d hope, but there’s one thing we can fully celebrate: Funny women are KILLING IT. From Amy Schumer to Nikki Glaser to Ali Wong and so many more, female comedians have been rising to the top and proving what plenty of us have known all along… women are fucking hilarious.
One of those women is Rachel Feinstein, who I recently had the joy of meeting. Feinstein was a finalist on “Last Comic Standing” and her Comedy Central special, “Only Whores Wear Purple,” was produced by Amy Schumer last year. I trekked out to Feinstein’s boyfriend’s apartment in Greenpoint, Brooklyn along with Alma’s video editors, Marissa and Hane, for what turned into a several hours-long giggle fest as Rachel regaled us with tales of how she ended up in New York to pursue a career in comedy, what her mother thinks about Jehovah’s witnesses, and the special Jewy gifts she and Amy Schumer recently exchanged.
