There are a lot of horrible things online. But the Snoopy community is not one of them.
The official Snoopy accounts on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok combined with Snoopy fan accounts like @SnoopyPhotos, @gir1genius, @DailySnoopys and @snoopylistens are full of vintage screenshots, panels and videos of Charles Shulz’ Peanuts cartoons. So too are these pages overflowing with fan tributes to and memorabilia of the iconic, mischievous cartoon beagle. Each post garners thousands of favorites and tons of engagement for the draw of what Rolling Stone has called the Peanuts’ “nostalgic Americana.” More plainly, I think we can all agree that Snoopy is just really adorable, funny and whimsical.
And thanks to the Snoopy community, he’s now trendy! Brands like Baggu and Target have lots of Snoopy products to choose from and sellers on Etsy are listing their own Snoopy creations as well. With Hanukkah coming up, here is a gift guide specifically for the Jewish Snoopy super fan in your life.
Angelic Snoopy Keychain (Etsy, $12)
While this keychain doesn’t feature a biblically accurate angel Snoopy, we can’t hold it against this Etsy creator. Sometimes the sweetest gifts are the ones which light up the more mundane aspects of life — like pulling out your keys. Get it for your younger sibling who just learned how to drive or your college bestie who just moved into a new apartment.
Happy Holidays Sweater (Macy’s, $36)
Is this sweater from the junior’s section? Yes. Does it convey a non-Christian holiday greeting while Snoopy wears a giant bowtie? Also yes.
Medium Nylon Crescent Bag (Baggu, $56)
Baggu is one of the most popular accessory companies out there right now for its effortlessly casual and practical products, which are made from recycled materials. There is no greater sign that Snoopy is in than the fact that he and buddy Woodstock are featured on this Nylon Crescent Bag.
Crew Sock (Baggu, $12)
Socks as a Hanukkah gift (or Christmas, if you come from an interfaith family) never fail! These Puffer Jacket Snoopy socks are simply made for the first night of Hanukkah.
Vintage Snoopy 1950 Short Sleeve Graphic Shirt (Target, $22.99)
If you’re a member of the Snoopy community and all you get is this adorable t-shirt featuring Snoopy’s first ever appearance in a Peanuts comic strip, I’d say you’re still doing pretty well.
Snoopy Plushie (Lambs & Ivy, $22.99)
You are never too old for a stuffed animal friend, and this is the coziest, softest-looking Snoopy plushie I could find.
Joe Cool Plushie (Aurora, $12.59)
If you’re too cool for a Snoopy plushie, how about a Joe Cool plushie?
Joe Cool Hat (Peanuts, $29.95)
OK, last try: If you’re too cool for a Joe Cool plushie, how about a Joe Cool baseball hat???
Snoopy Sledding Holiday Cards (Amazon, $12.99)
Send your seasons greetings via Snoopy, Woodstock and their giant stocking caps! (I realize the listing says they’re Christmas cards, but a user review confirms the card stock is blank on the inside.)
Snoopy and Woodstock Charm Bracelet (Crislu, $90)
There’s a lot of Snoopy jewelry out there. But as I recently learned from Chloe Weitman, the Jewish woman behind Yeah It’s Jewelry, that investing in well-made pieces that will last is the way to go. This adorable charm bracelet is made of sterling silver and pure platinum with cubic zirconia set into the charms. Sure that makes it a bit pricier, but it’ll be oh-so-worth-it down the road.
Hanukkah Snoopy and Woodstock Earrings (Etsy, $26.65)
Remember what I said about investing in well-made jewelry? I think these earrings still make the cut. The seller on Etsy hand makes them with durable plastic sealing and sterling silver hooks. Plus, it’s Snoopy and Woodstock celebrating Hanukkah! What more can you want?!
Snoopy Sticker Sheet (Etsy, $3.95)
Snoopy meets a kawaii aesthetic with this pink sticker sheet.
“Peanuts Greatest Hits” Album (Amazon, $9.49 – $25.98)
Jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi simply did not have to go as hard as he did when composing music for the Peanuts TV specials. And yet, in doing so, he created some of the greatest and most recognizable jazz melodies of the 20th century. Yes, some of these songs are from the Peanuts Christmas Special, but they are absolutely worth jamming out too.
Snoopy Hanukkah Crocs (Printerval, $24.95)
Red alert: These Snoopy Hanukkah crocs exist! I repeat: These Snoopy Hanukkah crocs exist!!!
Snoopy Porcelain Mugs (Amazon, $25.90)
Take that morning cup of coffee, tea or matcha to the next level with these porcelain mugs. They’re Snoopy meets Blue Willow vibes, and a great gift for the beverage goblin in your life.
Snoopy Boxed Set (Target, $17.38)
These Peanuts cartoons from the ’50s and ’60s are the perfect gift for a Snoopy lover who wants to go back to basics. Per the item description, “Snoopy battles to save his beloved doghouse, fantasizes about being a dinosaur and embarks on his epic career as the Phantom Punter, that is when he’s not dancing, avoiding cats or pondering on the vagaries of life.”
