17 Gifts Every Pomegranate Princess Needs

The most gorgeous finds, featuring the most Jewish fruit.

The pomegranate is, inarguably, the most Jewish fruit. It makes frequent appearances in texts like the Talmud and Song of Songs, and the Torah lists the pomegranate as one of ancient Israel’s seven species. Like any good Jewish motif, it’s also been assigned a variety of meanings: Jewish tradition teaches that each pomegranate contains 613 seeds to mirror the 613 mitzvot, and they are often associated with fertility and love. Queer Jews have even referred to the (high-key sensuous) fruit as a Sapphic Jewish icon. And, as we approach the new year, many Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews will be incorporating the pomegranate into their Rosh Hashanah seders.

No matter how you perceive the pomegranate (She’s glorious! She’s a mess! She’s gloriously messy!), I think we can all agree that the most beautiful Judaica tends to have her on it. For that reason, we’ve collected all of our favorite pomegranate-themed items to use, wear or admire in 5787 and beyond.

Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful handmade gift for your pomegranate-obsessed Jewish mother or just really like the Punica granatum’s vibe, we invite you to take a look. Chag sameach and happy shopping!
