3. Danielle graduated from Great Neck South High School in 2010. She initially started college at University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied retail. However, she transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology her sophomore year.
4. She was inspired to go into fashion by her friends. Where she initially saw fashion as “a mere shopping habit,” according to LongIsland.com, Danielle’s friends say something else. “[They] always knew I was destined for a career in fashion – just see my Bat Mitzvah video for proof,” she explained.
5. Danielle began her fashion blog WeWoreWhat when she was a sophomore in college as a way to show her former UW Madison classmates what people were wearing in New York. Since then, WeWoreWhat has turned into a fashion brand.
6. In 2012, Refinery29 named her as “the next big style blogger.” She told the New York Times that this moment “put her on the map.”

“I began designing because I wanted to create things for myself to have that didn’t already exist. I design things that I personally love and want to wear, and hope that my followers love them too,” Danielle told LongIsland.com.

In 2018, she was accused of stealing jewelry designs from a brand called Foundrae in a Nordstrom line. In 2020 alone, she was accused of copying a mask design from a small business called Second Wind, attempting to steal a design of shorts from a shop on Etsy called Art Garments and poaching a skirt design from designer Khala Whitney of Grayscale.
Danielle also got into a legal battle in 2020 with brand The Great Eros. The lingerie brand accused Danielle of stealing the design of their tissue paper.

12. Danielle received criticism and made headlines in 2020 for partying maskless in the Hamptons during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
