Abbi Jacobson Is Engaged!!!

The Jewish comedian, writer, illustrator and producer is engaged to longtime girlfriend Jodi Balfour, and we could not be more excited!

Mazel tov, Abbi! The Jewish “Broad City” star just announced her engagement to longtime girlfriend Jodi Balfour, and we are absolutely thrilled for the happy couple.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Abbi Jacobson is the multi-talented comedian, writer, actress and producer behind Broad City. She is also the author of “I Might Regret This: Essays, Drawings, Vulnerabilities, and Other Stuff” and the illustrator of several coloring books. Her fiancée Jodi hails from Cape Town, South Africa and is also an actress. The creative couple resides in Los Angeles.

Jodi and Abbi have been together for two years and recently walked the red carpet at the LA premiere of “A League of Their Own,” which Abbi co-created and stars in. Abbi’s co-stars were also thrilled about the engagement.

Since coming out, Abbi has been outspoken about the importance of queer representation.  “I think for a lot of queer people, the first person that they fall for — even have a queer experience with — changes the course of their life,” she recently stated in an interview with The Independent. It certainly seems like that’s the case for Abbi and her fiancé: The two could hardly look more in love, and we can’t stop swooning at their adorable photos.

Abbi’s engagement news comes a few weeks after the simcha of fellow Broad City alum Ilana Glazer, who recently welcomed her first child. We can’t wait to see what other joys lie ahead for the iconic Jewish bestie duo!

So let’s raise a glass of Manischewitz and toast to Abbi and Jodi, and all the queer joy they’ve brought to our lives! Excited to bring you all the details about the nuptials of the century.
