Amy Winehouse would have been 34 today, had her life not been cut tragically short at age 27 back in 2011. We all know how powerful her voice was, having listened to her two albums about a bajillion times by now.
But what’s amazing is how damn beautiful—and mature—her voice was when she was still just a kid.
The below clip, which was featured in Amy, the 2015 documentary about the singer’s life, features a 14-year-old Winehouse, literally sucking on a lollipop, being filmed at her friend’s birthday party. Another friend starts to sing “Happy Birthday,” and in comes Amy to finish off the song. Just watch: It will give you the chills.
