Vote Now for This Year’s Best Jewish Pop Culture Moments

For the fifth annual Alma Awards, you, our dear readers, get to choose every winner.

For the fifth year, we’ll soon present The Almas — our pop culture awards — for our favorite things in Jewish pop culture. As we gear up to welcome the New Year of 5784 on Rosh Hashanah, we’re excited to reflect on all the Jewish representation that 5783 had to offer. But get ready, Hey Alma pals, because this year, we’re shaking things up a bit.

In the past, we’ve presented you with winners in categories ranging from Movies, TV, Music and so on. Then, we’ve asked you to vote on our favorite pop culture moment of the previous Jewish year in our special Readers’ Choice poll. But this year, we’re giving the power back to the Hey Alma reader.

Now, we’re asking you to choose the winners in every. damn. category.

Yes, that’s right. By voting in the Google Forms below or on our Instagram story (feel free to cast your vote in either or both — the final vote count will be totaled from both places) you get to choose who wins awards like best Jewish reality TV personality, best Jewish performance on The Eras Tour, best Jewish comedy special and more.

Cast your ballots here:

Best Jewish Television
Best Jewish Movies*
Best Jewish Performing Arts
Best Jewish Books
Best Jewish Pop Culture Moments

Please vote by August 28. And stay tuned to find out the winners of the fifth annual Almas, announced on September 13!

*Two nominees in this category (“You’re So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” and “Golda”) won’t be released until this Friday, August 25. If that matters to you, wait until Friday to vote for Best Jewish Movies!
