It’s a Miracle! Hey Alma Is Hosting a Hanukkah Comedy Show!

"Get Lit, Bitch" will be held at Caveat NYC (and live-streamed!) on December 22.

On Hanukkah, Jews come together to light the menorah, play dreidel and reflect on the miracle that happened to our people. That miracle? To put it simply: They tried to kill us, we survived, let’s eat. But why not add some laughter in there, too?!

Join Hey Alma, your favorite feminist Jewish culture site, for “Get Lit, Bitch: A Hanukkah Comedy Show.” It’ll be an evening of Jewy stand-up comedy with Jared Goldstein (Comedy Central), Benny Feldman (Just for Laughs), Sami Schwaeber (NY Comedy Festival) and Jenny Gorelick (Comedy Central) hosted by Hey Alma’s Evelyn Frick.

The show will be held at Caveat NYC (21A Clinton Street, Manhattan) on December 22 at 7:00 p.m. You must be 21+ to attend. However, if you are not located in New York or are not yet 21+, never fear! You can still attend via a live-streaming option which includes video on-demand playback through December 29.

Additionally, you must be fully vaccinated to attend and will be asked to display your vaccination card and ID upon arrival at Caveat.

We can’t wait to see you there, besties!!

Note: Josh Gondelman, who was previously advertised as being on the show, unfortunately had to cancel.

Even those who are living outside of the societal norm of “partnered-and-parenting” care about Jewish meaning, history and legacy. This prayer is for us.
