Kanye West Likes the Jews Again. Here’s What Twitter Had to Say.

We can all thank Jonah Hill, a modern day Queen Esther, for this latest development.

This weekend, something miraculous happened. After a months-long and extremely public antisemitic tirade by Kanye West (also known as Ye), the rapper announced that he “like[s] Jewish people again.” What made Ye realize the error in his ways, you ask? Was it a tour of a Holocaust museum or concentration camp? Was it through educating himself about antisemitism? Was it through a conversation with leading Jewish organizations?

It was actually something far, far weirder. Kanye West has declared he’s no longer antisemitic because of Jewish actor Jonah Hill’s performance in the movie “21 Jump Street.”

Yes, I am being so serious right now.

On Saturday, Kanye posted the “21 Jump Street” movie poster to Instagram with the caption, “Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again. No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus was a Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.” You can see it for yourself:

Naturally, Twitter had an absolute field day with this ridiculous statement. So, for your viewing pleasure, below are the best tweets about Jonah Hill, “21 Jump Street” and Kanye West liking Jews again:

1. Does this mean Beanie Feldstein is Mordechai?

2. Jonah deleted his Instagram in August 2022 and it was definitely for the best.

3. He wouldn’t have been able to resist that McLovin scene.

4. Jonah, you’re our only hope!

5. We can only assume this is 100% accurate.

6. Thanks for the recap, Christopher!

7. Maybe Kanye shouldn’t watch “You People” though…

8. Straight in the garbage.

9. A missed opportunity, for sure.

10. PSA that Mel Gibson should be canceled!!

Fingers crossed this is the end of the Kanye West antisemitism saga. To steal a line from “Fiddler”: May God bless and keep Ye… far away from us!
